I had registered for a 4 set of A&A swaddle blankets (cheapies from BRU) --and then also received a 3 pack of the more expensive bamboo blankets. They are all very cute, but once I felt the bamboo ones, I don't think the cotton ones even compare ( the expensive ones are so much softer).
Will I use SEVEN swaddle blankets or should I just return the cheapies to BRU and keep the 3 nice ones?
Re: Boutique Vs. Cheap A&A blankets
I use them all the time and have to keep washing them to keep up. I have 4 and I just ordered 3 more.
We don't use them to swaddle, though. I use them over the car seat, as a quick OOPS burp rag, and to send to daycare. I always wash what comes home from daycare because I have no idea where it's been or what is on it.

If you like the nice ones keep them, wash them, and have them ready.
If you find your LO likes being Swaddled or you need more blankets for other uses then wash the other 4. If not you can return them once you know.
DS hated being Swaddled so I was glad I didn't spend a fortune on the swaddle blankets. I had a few and still use them for other uses.
Same here. I actually have 9 of them and they're all in use. I keep them in every room of the house plus the car so I always have one handy. Theyre way better than burp cloths and washing them only makes them softer. My baby is always hot, too, so we've found these to be perfect for him since they're so light and breathable. I don't even use any other blankets (except at night when he wears a sleepsack but even that is A+A muslin).
Yes, the ones buy buy baby or Target sell are considered the cheaper ones. 4 pack is $29 versus $49 for the more expensive boutique ones. I have some of each, 6 boutique ones, thicker, larger and easier for swaddling IMO and 8 cheaper buy buy baby/target, lighter weight, bit smaller. They all work great. Just like cars they make cheaper and more expensive options, all serve same purpose. The cheaper ones are still nice quality, handy to have around the house or in car if you prefer nicer ones for swaddling. The cheaper ones work for swaddling as well.
You're actually talking about a few different things. They make the cheaper version for target, the classic boutique version (bigger and softer than the cheaper target/bru/buybuybaby ones), and then they also make bamboo ones, that i belive are the same size as the classic but even softer.
Not that that really answers your question, but just thought I'd clarify
We have four of the classic boutique ones and I adore them, and never felt like we needed more (we swaddled with miracle blankets, but always have an A&A blanket handy. They are awesome for general use - spit rags, carseat cover, comfort blankets, etc!) We have a cheaper muslin blanket from another brand and I hardly ever touch it. The size/softness from the A&A make it worth it. I vote return the extras and you can always get more if you find your 3 nice ones arent enough.
