BJ City Elite double - heavy for a petite mom? Vs GT

It is currently clearanced out because the City Mini GT double replaced this model. The Elite spec is 42 lbs and the GT is 32. I am 5'0" and very petite, so I'm wondering if anyone with an Elite can comment on getting this thing in and out of a trunk. Mostly we need it for neighborhood walks but a few times a month I might go to the mall or outlets. We also like to Powerwalk/jog. I currently have a single Bob and there's been 5 or less occasions where my DH was not there to lift it for me, do maybe that's a non issue!

My kids will be 21 months apart, I'm due end of June.

All comments are welcome! TIA!

  • I should edit the above. We've never full on jogged with the single Bob so having a non-jogger won't be a big deal though I hear I can try to Powerwalk with the BJCE.

I haven't used mine yet, but am 5feet even. It seems big because I am so short and I don't have a problem lifting it because of weight, but it is a little cumbersome. I guess my opinion is that if your using it for light fitness activities, you should be strong enough to manage it.  We currently have the mini single, and I really wanted the 12in wheels. I did look at the bob duallie, and thought that the elite had much better features for an every day stroller, minus the capacity to run with it.
  • We have the eliete and It's heavy. I am 5'2" and prob 115pds and I can lift it up and into our suv but it's a good heave and push. On a hot day when I am already really worn out I curse it when I am lifting it into the car (after already loading kids and whatever other junk) but overall I LOVE this stroller. We use it a lot and recently more often than our city select.
