I was in a crappy mood all day yesterday as most of you probaby were. I lurked on the board but I didn't have the strength to respond to anything. I must have cried over 5 times. To make my day even crappier, I looked in the pile of mail and saw what looked like a magazine. I picked it up and it was a TARGET BABY CATALOG. *Pukes*. Oh and on the back was a coupon for $20 off when you make a registry with them. Thanks Target. Wonder who distributed my information to you.

I started crying immediately. (I've received an Enfamil newsletter of sorts once but never any baby mailings after that.)

My husband said he was sorry and that he would have thrown it out had he realized it was baby mail. Then he went on to tell me that he's been throwing out everything baby related that's come in the mail since that first Enfamil newsletter came. All this time and I had  no idea. I love my DH :).

    I'm sorry that happened, and on Mother's Day too!  I got the same catalog two years ago around this time, but I had started a Target registry.  

    With that said, I'm fairly certain The Bump gave/sold my information to a bunch of different companies.  I *know* they gave it to Similac.  If you haven't already, make sure you don't have your real address in your The Bump user registration. 

    Yikes!  Thanks for the tip--don't want to be blindsided by anything...

    dtowngirl--your DH rocks! :) Sorry you had a rough day, but glad to know you have such an amazing SO to help you through the tough times...

    Oh Dtown, I'm sorry you had so many crappy reminders yesterday!  How sweet of your DH, though.  Like DC2 said, I think TB sells your info - and quick too.  I updated my profile a couple of weeks ago (before everything went to sh!t) and within 24 hours, I had baby-related emails.  I should NOT have done that.  Silly me.

    Thanks for the heads up! I can't believe I never even considered that The Bump would give out the info. I thought about the Target prediction thing mentioned below to determine that I'm PG (for example buying maternity jeans there) but wondered where Target got my address. This makes more sense. **Going to update profile immediately.**
