LOFT used to be my go to store, and I've just had it with them. I don't shop that much anymore, so my clothes get worn a lot more often. And their clothes do not hold up at all. Their stuff pills or looks horrible after just a few washes. I don't think it used to be this bad? Am i wrong?
Re: I used to love LOFT, now I hate them
I've learned to avoid them.
I second everything about pilling/not holding up/getting misshapen, plus everything just seems a little... skimpy? not slutty skimpy, but like they're trying to trim fabric costs -- the sweaters all seem a bit short and the fabric all seems a bit thin, and things that should be lined aren't.
This exactly!
It reminds me of County Seat back in the day before they went down. I worked there in High School. There stuff was nice, similar to Gap, and then they started having financial issues. Quality went way down put prices stayed the same except they had crazy sales all the time similar to the 30 percent off ones the loft has been having. I have not gotten a cardigan from there in a couple of years that has held up. I am done with that place
yeah agreed.
I've finally decided to stop cheaping out on clothes and I'm going to start slowly buying higher quality pieces. If that means buying one pair of well made, wool pants for $200 2x a year, I think I'd rather do that than buy ones that look like crap after 6 months.
(I'll still buy cheapo casual stuff at Target/Kohls, etc. but I'd rather spend $80 or $120 on a blouse or sweater than spend $35 or 40 on one that starts looking like crap after a month)
