First Mother's Day Blah

I dunno what I expected for my first Mother's Day but I did kinda want more than what I got. It's not as bad as some of the other stories I've been reading but it wasn't a great ideal day like I had imagined. First DH never said Happy Mother's Day...I had guys from work calling and texting me Happy Mother's Day and even some this morning wishing me the same. Really? People I work with took the time to say Happy Mother's Day and he couldn't even manage it. I asked my parents if they wanted to go out to eat but they didn't want to deal with the crowds so we just ordered pizza at their house...that's cool but once we were there DH started acting very distant and like he didn't even want to be there. After about an hour he started saying Sophia was tired and we needed to go so she could go to bed, really? It was 5 pm...her bedtime is about 730-8pm. Well I stalled and we started home at about 7...on the way he asked if I had asked my Dad about fumigating our house...I said no that it hadn't occured to me & that I forgot. DH then starts "Well did you think about what's gonna happen when you don't give Sophia a bath and a roach goes to her crib and bites her cuz she's dirty and the house hasn't been fumigated? I have to think about that stuff since you don't care." I fixed the situation immediately by calling my Dad and asking him to go over when ever he had a chance to fumigate...he's there this morning getting it done. I told DH that he hurt my feelings with the comment and basically that the memory that I would have from my First Mother's Day would be his comment and not anything else...come to think of it I didn't even get a picture of her and me together cuz DH was too busy doing paperwork for work to even snap a picture of us before we went to my parent's. Eh sorry vent over...but I see alot of the problems Dh and I have been having coming to surface...I told him the other day if I didn't want more kids then I would of already left him. Ugh hopefully things get better.

Im sorry that YH did that to you. Just remember that cute little face needs a happy mommy. So ignor DH when is being a "dusch" and go play with your baby. Maybe by ignoring DH he will get the point..
