So Mr. Finn arrived at 11:30pm on May 7th via emergency c/s due to a repeated plummeting of his HR. I arrived to hospital around 845 after having moderate contractions for about 2 hours. I was 6cm when I got to hospital, MD came and broke water 15 minutes later and I was a 7. I stayed at a 7 in full blown labor for an hour waiting on the stupid CNRA to show up, annnnnd by that time my epidural didn't take. The only thing it did was take the edge off my contractions, I had full movement and vaginal sensation. I was complete about another 15 minutes, then my BP tanked due to the epidural bolus and my little man started to take a dive for the worse, like prolonged decels into the 60's. Everything turned out fine and he ended up having a pretty severe body cord, but it's true- the worst situations always happen to the nurses lol. I think my Dr and Coworkers were even more on edge about things because I'm one of the crew.
We couldn't be happier- and screw a VBAC lol. I don't ever want to feel another contraction in my life! IF (and I do mean if) we ever have a third it will be a scheduled section.
