"You've dropped a bit"

This what what both my Mom and Dh's mom said to me yesterday while I was delivering their Mother's Day gifts. It sort of made me excited, but at the same time, it was a bittersweet feeling as that meant that my stint of being pregnant is coming to a close. I have enjoyed every minute of being pregnant and have cherrished every round of heartburn, bought of nausea, relentless peeing and any other countless number of issues to deal with while being pregnant. We have about 4 1/2 weeks left so there is lots more growing to do, but I'm excited all the same to be that much closer to meeting our little one.

    I ignore comments like that, because people generally don't know what they're talking about.  :-)  My neighbor tells me that EVERY time I see her.  And my grandma tells me that over the phone.  No... he's still sitting way up near my ribcage completely NOT engaged... but I do appreciate their being supportive.  I think it's people's way of saying "Any day now!"  Though, to me... it just seems silly.  My first son never dropped and he was born a few days before his EDD.  Babies will come when they want to.

    I think it is peoples way of saying hang in there it's almost over.... 

    If I actually dropped every time someone said that to me the baby would of be out all by her self weeks ago hahaha

    It is very nice of them to be supportive.. and I believed it at first... then when you feel them beat up your ribs (still at 38 weeks) you begin to doubt that the whole dropping thing has occurred lol

    I don't feel like I've dropped at all, and frankly I don't see it either. It is still hard to breathe and eat. I'm sure it was just the moms being supportive. Moreso like I said, these comments spurred on a bittersweet feeling that it is almost over, and I've actually enjoyed being pregnant so it is sort of sad too.
