TTC After a Loss

My good morning (NTTCALR)

My sweet nephew stayed the night last night. He's 7 and in the first grade at a school about two blocks from our house. His mom and 4 year old sister are in the hopsital because she (his little sister) was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes yesterday morning and they are having to get her stabilized and send Mom through a crash course in how to manage it. Its all a bit scary so we could use some prayers! Yesterday her blood sugar was 880!!! Last night it was down to 200 so they're getting there.

But on to my good morning....we woke him up, ate waffles together, snuggled on the couch and watched a little bit of Hop, and then walked to school! He of course thought he was the coolest kid ever because he's never gotten to walk to school!

I can't wait to spend mornings like this with my own kids.

Sounds like you had a great morning with your nephew - He's lucky to have such a cool aunt who lives near his school!  I am new to this board (just posted an intro) and wanted to offer any information or support that your family may need on type 1 diabetes.  I was diagnosed 27 years ago at the age of 2.  I hope that today is a better day for your niece and family.  Please feel free to PM me if you or your family has any questions, looking for easy to understand info, etc. I would be happy to help!
