Mother's Day Pity Parties ? Add me kinda

Mine isn't so bad, but I spent my first mother's day battling the flu, or at least a wicked fever which made me feel flu-ish. Thursday we got a call from DC that Ty wasn't feeling too well and was maybe coming down with something. He went to MILs on Friday and she said that he was "out of it/not himself" all day. A few hours later he had a fever and was clearly not feeling well. Saturday, I woke up with mucus in my eye, similar to what he'd had the last few days, and a few hours later I had a fever. His went away mid-night Sat/Sun, but mine broke at the middle of dinner last night.
And, on top of that, no gift for me because DH needed me to take Ty for a few hours, out of the house, so he could finish my gift. Well, at that point Ty had a 102 fever and clearly I wasn't taking him anywhere.

This is actually an excuse for me to go to the mall one night with Ty! Next weekend I'm hoping to do the planting I wanted to do this weekend.
I admit though that I'm praying his gift is that he'll be cleaning the basement for me. It's a disaster and really REALLY needs to be cleaned.
Awww that sucks. We had fever issues this weekend too. V's temperature went up and down all weekend and he was cranky. I think it was his teeth bothering him because yesterday two upper teeth popped through.
I didn't get a gift from DH/V but I told him he didn't have to do anything (and I meant it, lol). Around 10:30 Saturday night DH grabbed his keys and wallet and said he had things to take care of. He went to Walmart and bought me two cards.
My mom, MIL, and SIL bought me nice gifts which was so nice!
