When you do a back carry, do you find that LO pulls your hair a lot?

I have a mei tei and love it with DS in the front carry, but I think we're ready to use the back carry sometimes. I tried it once when we first got it and I was comfortable getting him on and off. My only real concern is him attacking mommy!

When DH stands with DS behind me, he likes to pull my hair, pull out my clip, or find some other shenanigans to get up to back there. Any experience or suggestions to share? Thanks!

    Yes, this is why I rarely do back carries.

    How long is your hair? Could you do a low side ponytail so it was mostly out of reach or cover it with a scarf?

    My LO doesn't pull my hair in a back carry, but she's also kind of low and my hair is usually up. Not that she couldn't reach, but it hasn't occurred to her (yet, ha ha).

    She does sometimes if she's bored. I usually just hand her a small teether or something similar to keep her hands occupied.

    yep. Or I move my head and feel a wet chunk of hair. It isnt ALL the time though..

    DS did a few times, but hasn't in a long time.  I was startled once and yelped, which scared him.  He hasn't done it since.  I think it was a "got bored/grew out of" thing.

    Haha! Yep! I get hair pulled and necklace pulled if he is arms out. I have this nursing necklace that I throw back there so he has something to play with or chew on.     DD doesn't do it much but my hair isn't super long. If I know that we'll be out for a while not walking (when we go to puppy school) I attach a toy for her, we use a pacifier clip, it works really well. Oh and I've been using DH's Ergo because I lent my MT to someone for their daughter to try it and well a month later I still don't have it back!! Oh well I'm now a pro at getting her on my back in the Ergo and I'm getting better at wrapping :)
