TTC after 35

IUI Update..

Hello All,

Had my IUI this morning and everything went good.  I just feel a little crampy right now.  Is that normal?? 

Now on to the 2ww!!  I'm so impatience I don't know how I'm going to do it. 

Anyone has any suggestions??

  • Glad everything went well! I was also crampy for days and felt so bloated. The heating pad brought some relief. 2ww stinks. No matter how much you have to do you are always thinking about if it's going to work or not. Do you have a hobby? I love books so I just read and kept busy at work. I'm also a tv addict so that def helped! GL

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

  • I have never done an IUI so I can't comment on that but just wanted to say GL!
    Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.
  • Cramping is normal and expect the bloat to kick on also. I'm glad it went well for you. Good luck!

  • Congrats on having the IUI completed!  I was crampy too & bloated for sure!  I agree with Becky that going knee deep into a hobby helps keep you distracted!  I love baking so I made a special cake for a coworker & also started a big sewing project too.  :)

  • Good luck.  I'm usually a bit twingy / crampy after IUI.  

    I knitted a tank top during my last 2ww.  A hobby helps keep you busy and not obsessing (much).

  • I read books, cooked alot, put in extra hours at work and went camping! Anything to keep you busy and worn down so you can sleep at night! GL!
