  Two seperate issues - but i thought rather than posting multiple times I'd just post the once.

   

  Conjunctivitis..... yuk - I hate it. C came home with it on Friday from day care, it wasn't too bad and fortuntaly I could get him in to see his Dr and get some drops for it quickly - It seems fine throughout most of the days but towards the end when he starts to get tired it seems he still gets a bit of gunk - when  is it ok to take them back to care??? Plus -  Now though every time my eyes feel sticky I get paraniod I've got it too!

  At all DCs I have worked at its 24hours on drops.  They will also administer the drops if the child is at DC during a dose.  Usually kids come back with pinkness or goop but are no longer contagious,

  Spit Up - So my child care tells me after C's morning tea he has his sippy of about 100ml WC milk (2-3Oz) and then proceeds to throw up. I know he doesn't have an intolerance because it doesn't happen at home. They keep telling me that I should drop his afternoon bottle (I'm not ready to do that yet) because they think he is eating to much and the reason he is throwing up is because he is over full from the night before.... C still has 2 bottles, 1 at around 3:30pm and 1 at 7 before bed, the rest of the time he has his sippy and just eats regular meals. I think that they are just giving him too much morning tea followed by his sippy.... How many of you have dropped bottles all together? the carers say that by 12 months all the other kids are just have 3 serves of dairy a day which includes a piece of cheese and yoghurt .... thoughts???

  DD still gets all her formula in bottles still.  She only gets water in sippys and anytime I have tried formula she won't take it.  I will still be giving her two bottles of formula after a year  since DD is on the small side.  I will then only give her WCM in sippys with each meal.  At all the DCs I have worked at the state requires us to serve milk for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  And juice or water with snack.  So it does not make any sence to me that they would say that children over 12 months only get 3 servings total. I would push what you are comfortable with and not listen to them.  You are his mom and get the final say.

  As for the throwing up maybe he is eating too fast or the pieces are not small enough for him?  I can't see his night time feeding being the reason at all.

  I agree with PP that I dont think his night feedings have anything to do with the throwing up. I would say that you are right and he is just having to much. I do have a question though....what is morning tea? Is that his morning bottle?

  C is a big eater - he has quiet a big breakfast at 7am and then at 9:30 at care he gets a snack of usually fruit and crackers + his sippy of 100ml or sometimes it will be toast + his sippy. I honestly think he is just eating too much solid food and so when he has the milk it all overflows and comes back up (his spit up is all milk the carer says) I am not ready to remove the afternoon bottle - they tried it once before and he was starving come dinner time - besides that he never spits up at home - so i think he is eating too much too fast and then being too active afterwards.... I've tried to explain all of this but they talk to me like i wouldn't know.... yes i am a first time mum, but it doesn't happen at home - i think they think i'm lying?
