Reassurance needed re:laying on my belly

Ok, I know this is silly, but I need reassurance that it's okay to lay on my belly.  I'm a belly sleeper and even just watching tv, I'm more comfortable in my belly.  I've tried to avoid it this week, but without fail, I wake up every morning on my belly, so at some point in the night, I roll onto my belly without knowing it.

I know I can't "crush" my embies...I think I'm more concerned about temperature.  Is it too hot for them if I'm on my belly?  Am I being completely insane about this one?

I have absolutely no symptoms except really, really sore boobs.  OUCH!  I'm only 2dp3dt so I'm not going to get too concerned just yet...I just wish there was some way I could tell if those little embies were sticking or not!

Re: Reassurance needed re:laying on my belly

  • I still sleep halfway on my stomach and wake up many times on my back. As I have heard your body will let you know when you need to move. P.S. I was a belly sleeper as well.

    So very sorry wrong board!

  • I slept on my belly this time around almost every night (I was cautious doing it for my first IVF cycle but read it didn't matter). Didn't seem to hurt anything!

  • i still sleep on my belly and will until i no longer can do so comfortably! Don't worry about crushing or over heating your embies by laying on your tummy.  They have plenty of cushioning in your ute right now to keep them cozy :)   Will you be POAS?

Thank you ladies!  You've all made me feel much better!

Yes, I plan on POAS next Saturday.  I will be 9dp3dt.  DH really doesn't want me to test until Sunday, but I assured him I will test Saturday, Sunday and Monday before my beta.

My last cycle, 2 years ago, I wasn't working and I had nothing to do all day but obsess over everything.  I'm hoping that this time around, now that I'm working again, I will be able to keep my focus off every little twinge and tingle and on my work.  I'm sure the week will draaaaaag though!
