Front bike seat for DD! PIP

DH and I have been contemplating getting either a front bike seat for DD or a bike trailer but couldn't agree so it hasn't happened.  Well today I bought a new bike (mine was from 1992Embarrassed) and saw that Wal-Mart carries the Wee Ride front seat.  I was asking "the bike guy" if it would fit on my bike and he decided to give us his 2 cents on front vs back seats and trailers.  Well he convinced DH that the front seat was the way to go!  Yay! 

We got home and hooked it all up and LOVE it!!  I'm so glad we went this route.  I didn't feel off balance at all and it wasn't uncomfortable at all either.  I will admit my thighs rub a little on her leg things if I didn't position my legs out a little but riding either way was not awkward or painful/uncomfortable.  I would highly recommend it!  And at $50 it was cheaper than a trailer also!

    You were my inspiration!  Thank you!  Your review helped so much and I am super glad we got this instead of the trailer!

    And thank you to PP as well!  I love DD's face with her helmet :)  DH and I crack up every time we see it!  I can't wait to ride it farther now!

    Super cute and I am sure it will be ton of fun. Where is you find an infant bike helmet? I have been looking for one but can only seem to find ones for kids 3 years+. Of course I still need a new bike and a set for O also but those seem to be much easier to find than an infant helmet.

    This one was at WalMart.  It said 1+ but we figured she was close enough and we probably wouldn't find a smaller one.  They had one style for boy and one style for girl and that was it.  They were just mixed in with all the 3+ and 5+ ones.

    So jealous! Our wal-mart doesn't have the wee ride :-( I looked the other day and tried the little helmets on D. Maybe I will check the other wal-mart... I want to go for a ride.

    So fun! I just found one of those on craigslist in the next town over for $10. I'm hoping it's still available!

    That is so cute!!!! I'm too nervous to bike with DD where we live now but at our new neighborhood I might give it a try since it's gated so no through traffic.

    Very cute, are you sure you have your bike set up correctly, most of the people I see on bikes have the seat too low, that may help with your legs touching her.

    Thanks for the suggestion but yeah the "bike guy" helped set it all up. And if it was any higher I wouldn't be able to touch the ground at all.  It's probably just my "big italian thighs" getting in the way Wink
