I read your very helpful blog post about transitioning your preemie to EBF. DD and I are working on that, and I think it won't be long before we could try to stop offering bottles. My question for you is this: once you took the plunge and stopped offering bottles, did you also stop pumping? I would absolutely love to quit but don't want to have supply issues as DD needs more in the future.

Hi! I'm so glad you've found it helpful! Yes, I stopped pumping...that was really nerve-wracking! It had been four months of pump-routine and counting ounces, storage, etc - I'm sure you know! I had a freezer stash of extra milk (quite a lot) from NICU in my freezer so I felt like I had a security blanket...but we never used a drop of it. One time I tried making momsicles for DS when he was teething, but that was a bad idea and a story for another time ;P
My LC told me to only pump when I needed to take the edge off so I wouldn't get engorged/clogged ducts but nothing more. It's such a foggy memory now but I remember it being uncomfortable for a few days. He nurses from one side per feed so that was the thing that I had to help the most because my body was used to a double pump.
Please let me know how it's going
