Add me to the Mother's Day list!

So DH and I don't have a ton of money due to the new business venture we are doing.  So we had discussed that we would just wait til he gets paid on Wednesday, no biggie.  But then come to find out he didn't even get me a card, you can get that for super cheap and we aren't that broke.  Not to mention I know that he will not do anything special for me.  Hell will freeze over if he does actually do something that doesn't cost anything, like make me breakfast or anything.

I just have to keep telling myself that we did agree to a later date and maybe in his "Man" mind that meant anything could wait til Wednesday.  But still it is woe is me because this is my first Mother's day and it would be nice if he would do something, anything.

Okay that's it my vent is over.  Thank you for listening ladies!

    Feel free to vent away but I have an idea for you. Tell YH that since its mothers day that he gets to change ALL the diapers tomorrow, cause ya well that what I am gonna do Wink

    I love it, I think I will do that.  Also, we are going to my mother's for a cook out so perhaps I will just let him help out even more beyond the diapers tomorrow. ;-)

    Sorry your first mothers day is not going to be special. We too agree'd not to spend money because we are saving to move out of state, and with MH out of work things are really tight.

     I am hoping for some kind of recognition, but not going to get my hopes up so I am not let down.

    I am so happy I am not the only one, and great idea not getting any hopes up, I think I should follow that same advice for sure.  I hope you have a fantastic Mothers Day as well!!!  Happy 1st! :-)

    :(  I hope he proves you wrong and takes some initiative tomorrow.  At the very least, he should do diapers and stuff around the house.  We're here for you if you need to vent more!

    I'm kind of in the same boat. DH and I are moving and he's already been out of the state for two weeks and I will be joining him on the 31st. Well I asked him if he even got me a card and he said he did but wasn't going to give it to me till the 19th which is when he'll be coming back for LO's birthday. I was a little bummed out because I won't have anything tomorrow to open :(

    We are also in the same boat of being kind of broke right now so he wants to wait till next month for us to really celebrate Mother's Day. It's not so bad though because my dad took me and my mom out on the 10th (Mexican's Mother's Day) so we had a really nice lunch, so that was nice.
