I think after all my research I am going to go with the Valco twin mode & Joey seat. I know the Zee is coming out with the joey seat, but the wheels are too small. Our DS will be 20 mths when the twins are born & this seems like our only option since we live in the sticks & need an all terrian stroller. We are also getting the DSNG. We have a suburban so I know it will fit & I am tall & strong enough to pick up the weight by myself.
Have you found any deals on this stroller? Any tips or things I need to know before I pull the trigger? It will be awhile before I do get it but was wanting to get any feedback. TIA!
Re: Biting the bullet with the Valco?
I am totally not opposed to buying it used. I have been stalking CL for quite awhile as well as contacting some MOM's groups. We just really live in the sticks & this stroller has not taken off as much I think.
i got mine on craigslist... i'm actually selling it now - too bad you are not in NJ!
well worth it - was SO great to have when my twins and DS1 were small.
I know!
So glad to hear. I think if we get it from the get go it will be well worth the $ we spend no matter what the price.
I could not believe my luck, but I am picking one up tomorrow (without the joey seat) for $60! There was an old craigslist posting that I was not going to even bother emailing about because I knew it had to be gone, but I tried it out and emailed yesterday. She told me that she was stood up twice and it was still available. A $60 Valco! I was looking for a cheap stroller to take on a trip in case it got ruined, but never thought I would find a valco.
Thank you Thank you for the 30% off tip!
Jealous!!
I got mine with the diapers.com discount too, and it was worth it. It was seriously the only way I could leave the house to go on walks with all three before the boys could sit up. My DD is also 20 months older than my boys and it was a lifesaverbecause I could keep her contained well if she didn't want to walk on errands etc. I don't use it much at all anymore, I use the Choo-Choo wagon for zoo trips etc. or the Maclaren Twin Techno for quick errands. The only way I think you could get by with out getting it is if you would not need to take all three out by your self much or if you do, just for very quick trips where DC1 could walk & you could use the DSNG until your twins grow out of it & then switch to a normal double stroller.
Good Luck! If you get it you will love it & feel like Superwoman because you are able to get them all out by yourself!
THX!!
