Ok, I'm just getting home from being out of town this weekend. I have updated the link below so it should take you to the GBCN/B (Goodbye Cruel Nest/Bump) ProBoards. I removed myself from moderating and Aegis2005 has assumed that role. Where ever you want to post, post. All the new boards purpose was to give everyone another place to post without hassle. I'm stepping out of it so if you have any more concerns, PM me.

To post, you will need to create a log in (most everyone kept their nest names).

Is the new one supposed to have a match for each of our current boards? There's no PAIF board...

ETA: Never mind...found it. The IF, IFV and PAIF boards are at the bottom; not in alpha order for some reason.

Since you are the pb-IFV board mod could you please add the board description and link to the blog/FAQ/Guidelines to a sticky post at the top of the thread lists?

I'm also wondering why you are moderator. I'm not saying you SHOULDN'T do it, I'm just wondering where the decision came from. No offense, but if you have an outright contentious relationship with as many bumpies as you stated, it seems unexpected, especially if you see your ties there to be temporary.

I don't have an outright contentious relationship with as many people that you are thinking I do. I had issues with a couple bumpies. Because of the nature of the situation and where they moved on to, I know I am not welcome in one group for sure and in the main FB IF group, I choose not to post often because I don't like the fact that they can see my info but have me blocked. It just doesn't sit well with me. End of story.

I?ve also said something to the effect of it being a temporary migration because once things calm down here, I?m sure there are going to be people that move back. I?m not going to try to force people to post here or there. Where ever they want to post, I?ll post. Simple as that.

As for the moderator, the GBCB came via someone on the GBCN forums and she set it up. Since it was just getting off the ground, she asked if anyone was up for being a mod. Not knowing who, if anyone, was going to come over, I said I?d do it. I remembered you saying that you don?t have the time to right now and figured it wasn?t a big deal for the time being just to kick things off. If I?m wrong, then I apologize but I honestly didn?t see it as a big deal whatsoever. I?m not one to care about having a mod title so it wouldn?t break my heart not to be one. I was just trying to help out, that?s it.

As for the links and stickies, I?ll work on it. I am still learning where everything is over there myself.

:::butting in::: You have to set up a new user name, but it can be the exact same info. I think there may be an attempt to put all of the boards on the GBCN one so that folks will only need one login. So stay tuned.

Yup, I just emailed the request for IF and IFV to be added and I let her know that mod was up for grabs if anyone felt they wanted to do it instead. Again, to anyone reading, all it was was an act of trying to be helpful and get something set up. I'll do it if anyone wants or I wont do it if anyone wants. Makes no difference to me. I apologize if anyone was offended.

Hi ladies. I'm in the car heading oot but I'm assuming that the link doesn't work bc the boards were moved into the gbcn boards section. instead of a seperate board for bump boards they got added t the nest section. i will have to relink there or if you click the feb 2010 board to the left on here, it will take u to the MM refuge from the nest. there is a thread about all the boards moving t pro boards andthe link is in there. i havent been on in hours now so idk whats changed or been added in terms of ifv. sorry, i will try to get on again yet tonight

Rachael - for what its worth - as far as my experience goes - from a little spat with my SIL - if you block someone they can't see anything you post or anything about you at all. Correct me if I am wrong but I think thats how it works - it supposed to make it so they can see anything about you. Here is the info from FB -

Blocking someone prevents them from viewing your profile (timeline). Any ties you currently have with the people you block will be broken (friendship connections, friend details, etc.). Your profile (timeline) will not be visible to them and you will not appear in their search results or friend lists. Blocking is mutual, so they will also become invisible to you as well.

Keep in mind that blocking someone may not prevent all communications, such as interactions in third-party applications, and does not extend to elsewhere on the Internet.

Please note that removing a block will not restore a connection. If you block a friend and then remove that person from your block list, you will need to send them a new friend request.

I am trying to think of a good analogy - think of it as blocking is like protecting yourself from some crazy stalker - if you block them they can't find you, see anything you post or even search for you...

That shouldn't be an issue. Proboards is the largest online forum and gets something like 20M hits a day. I doubt our boards are the issue.

I'm on my ipad right now, but the link to the MM board is in my sig. You can just back up twice to see the folder for Baby boards. IF is located there.

They are changing formats and it sucks. Rachel posted about it below. Go to Money Matters and you can see. Many boards are getting swicthed. Pages won't load, posts go missing, counts and sigs are messed up and more.
