Hard spout sippy?

Has anyone been using a hard spout sippy yet? Just wondering if it's too soon to transition to these....or if anyone has had good luck with them.

We've been using the Born Free sippys that are soft spouts. I have a bunch of hard spout sippys that say 12 month plus, they're Gerber Graduate Learning System ones.

Re: Hard spout sippy?

  • Audrey had (err...took) some from her cousin's (who's almost 3) cup.  She did well-ish with it.  Compared to how little she was getting before, she did great. lol

  • No spout luck for us. She doesn't tip. She is awesome with straws though and I'm fine with that. Only reason I even tried. Spout is because we got some at the shower..

We've had great luck with our sippys thus far, so maybe I shouldn't bother trying to change...but figured they would be easier to wash, etc. The Born Free ones are basically bottles, just with a different nipple...so it's a lot of washing every day.

  • We use these: sippy cup

They are the only ones we've used, but she does really good.  They also use hard topped ones at school as well (different style).

This, exactly, for my baby and my toddler.  My 2.5yr old still cannot grasp the concept of tipping (unless it's with an open/"adult" cup), and the hard spout baffles him.  Oh well.

  • Glad to hear we aren't the only ones having trouble with the tipping.
