Late Term and Child Loss

AW- 2 good weeks in a row

I wanted to write a positive post since all of April was very difficult for me. May feels like a breath of fresh air. I actually had my s*it together at work so my students were very calm and well behaved (for the most part!) I have been feeling a little bit more like myself. When people ask, "how are you?" I don't feel like giving a rude response or shrugging my shoulders. I can actually say, "ok," and mean it. I can hold a proper conversation without feeling a thousand triggers each time someone says something that makes me think of Max and Molly. I wake up without feeling the overwhelming, crushing sadness and grief. I sing in the car. I feel thankful for my husband, friends, and family. I peek at new babies on fb (but still don't "like" their pictures and I'm still unsubscribed from them!) I hope this feeling lasts for a while. I hope the bad moments happen less often and are more brief. Anyone else having an ok day, week, month?

You know, this month is considerably better than last!

I do the FB thing too...I check up on friends who gave birth/giving birth/or close to delivering occasionally but I don't comment on their statuses or pics. They're very well hidden. :)

  • Happy to hear that you are having a better month. I hope your refreshed feelings stay with you. I have actually gone a full day without crying, still sad, but small bits of happy moments are starting to enter back into my life.

  • I'm happy to hear you are doing well! I have been doing pretty well lately too. I actually "chit-chatted" with someone on the playground the other day; usually I had been feeling annoyed with anyone who tried to talk to me. Let's enjoy the good while it's here :)
