Second or more time moms

Someone told me alot of second time moms don't drop until they go into labor. Anyone know how much truth there is too this? Or if you are a second time mom when did you drop? Am I the only STM with a baby that won't leave the ribs? Im so ready to breathe again without a foot stuck up there.

  • This time the baby has been low all along, but I don't feel like she's actually dropped yet.

  • My doctor could feel the baby's head at my 37 week appointment, but I really didn't notice dropping this time or last because I have a pretty long torso.

  • Some drop, but most don't. Mine dropped. But, I can still feel him in my ribs if I'm sitting weird. Plus, he's obsessed with my right side, and I feel him there.
  • This is my 3rd, and I can't remember if I dropped with my 2nd, but I've already dropped with this baby. I've really noticed it this last week, and my doctor confirmed it today.

Mine hasn't dropped. Doctor described him as floating and not putting pressure on the cervix yet. I'm 3cm though.
  • I have heard this too.  DD has dropped, since week 35.  As of last week, she was at +1 station.
  • With both my girls I never noticed a difference. Other people looked at me and said I dropped. With this pregnancy I felt feet in my ribs the day I had her!
  • I dropped at 34 weeks but I am really tiny with a short torso so now hes back in my ribs since hes so big!

  • This is my second and I dropped at 30 weeks, but still have a foot stuck in right rib. The breathing was better, but these little feet have been a lot.
  • My MW told me that second and on babies can drop and then go back "up".  I had someone tell me that I hadn't dropped yet on Tuesday at 9am and I had my son at 4:09pm on the same day so who knows about dropping!  Good luck I hope you get some relief soon!
