I'm trying to stock up on some diapers and plan on using Pampers Swaddlers. I'm wondering about how many packs of newborn diapers I should plan on for the boys, and how many size 1's? If you remember or have a rough guess, I would appreciate it! tia!
Re: MoMs that use Pampers Swaddlers
This is a hard one because everybody is different, but here's what I used:
Preemies for first month (10 diapers/baby/day)
Newborns for second month (8-10 diapers/baby/day)
1's we're still in them at 8-10/baby/day
However, my friend had a 36 weeker born at the exact same size as my girls and she used newborns for maybe a week, 1s for about 2 weeks, 2s for a month and is now in 3s (he is 6 months and 14 lbs).
I thought we would use the Pampers Swaddlers as well, but we ended up trying the Huggies (b/c that what Costco has) and I like them better.
You definitely need more size ones than newborns. Lorelai came home wearing size ones and she was 6lbs. Maddie came home still wearing newborns and switched into size ones now and she's just 9 lbs. She's more petite and was able to be in them longer.
Figure around 10-12 diapers per baby per day. I had a ton of preemie diapers that the hospital gave me and I was able to take them to Walmart and return them for a gift card and get the next size up so that might be something to keep in mind. Plus I've returned at BJ's and exchanged for the next size. Target is the only place that are jerks about returning w/out a receipt.

My babies have just grown out of the newborn size.
