could this be it??

today is my last day of work (I'm 39 weeks 3 days). i got up early to make DH and i some egg sandwiches for breakfast, and i started having contractions as soon as i got up and started moving around the kitchen. they are much more noticeable today than they have ever been, and occasionally they are accompanied by quick sharp cramps. but i cant tell if they are real contractions or just strong BH. they have continued all morning, but havent gotten any stronger. when i sit down they get less strong, but as soon as i walk around there they are again. i also feel a little nauseous today and really tired and crabby. i really want to make it through my last day of work, but i dont want to wait too long and then not be able to drive myself home. what would you do? wait it out or go ahead and go home? if this is the real thing, i want to be able to nap for a little while before they get too intense, and obviously i cant nap at work. problem is, we are short-staffed today so if i leave i will really be leaving my co-workers in a bind. not sure why i care about that if im in labor.....lol

Well I had this happen to me on wednesday evening but when I went to sleep wednesday night it all went away. I'd give it a little more time. Maybe try putting something warm on your belly to see if that eases them up.. If it does, your probably not in active labor.

The fact that they are easing up when you sit probably means they are just strong BH, but you never know. I've been having contractions for a week now, and they always go away when I go to bed. I know you want to make it through your last day of work but my advice is go home and lay down...take a nap.
