My cousin is Jewish, and at the risk of sounding uneducated, I need to call her and tell her I cannot attend her son's Bris.

However, is Bris pronounced Brisssss, or is it pronounced Brie (like the cheese)?

I thought it had the "s" sound at the end, but my mom was pronouncing it like the cheese

It's like "brisk" without the k. Bummer you can't go, sure to be a lot of yummy food.

I wish I could go, but its on Sunday, and 4 hours away :-(
