May 2012 Moms

I guess these people really do exist..

As a wonderful start to my Friday I had to get up a half hour earlier than usual because one of the testers was coming to the barn this morning to test the quality of the milk each of the dairy cow produces. So I was already half asleep and yawning trying to get all the morning chores done when the tester walks in. First words out of her mouth. "You need to stop eating so much!" Seriously? I only see this woman every 45 days and the first words out of her mouth are about me eating too much?

For this pregnancy I've gained 20-25 lbs now. Everyone keeps telling me I'm all belly. I've only got a couple weeks left. I had a complete stranger tell me she couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind the other day. I thought I was doing pretty good! But no... apparently I need to stop eating so much.

If I wasn't so tired and sore I think I would have tried shoving my barn boot up the womans rear.

I feel you.  I've gotten everything from "Your need to exercise more" to "Wow, your huge!"   And this is from the same people who "Couldn't even tell your pregnant" at 6 months..   I've gained 30 lbs (10 of those in the last month) and for someone who puts on weight VERY easily and has always struggled with weight.. I didn't think I did too bad.  All of my clothes still fit everywhere EXCEPT my belly (I tried them on to reassure myself.. lol)  so I must not have gained too much in other places.

  • LOL PP I did the same thing after she said that. I went in the house to get ready for work and tried on 2 pairs of my old jeans just to make sure that yes I can still get them up. I can't zip or button them but my butt still fit!

Even if it were true it's so rude!  I have gained slightly too much weight this pregnancy and I would be super angry if anyone told me that, especially someone I barely know.  It is NEVER appropriate to comment on an acquaintance's weight/weight gain, unless you're their doctor or they ask for your opinion.  Why do people think pregnancy throws courtesy out the window?
  • Really in no way should a person comment on how much a pregnant women eats. Why do they think that when you are pregnant it makes you open for all kinds of advice.

  • What a cow! (pun intended and directed at the twatwaffle who said that).

I always came back with "I'm pregnant what's your excuse" to anyone who had something to say about my size. Effers!
