We made it to Paris yesterday afternoon after a loooong flight. DS slept in the bassinet for about an hour after dinner. I was hopeful that he would just sleep straight through, but no. He woke up and would. not. go back to sleep for the rest of the "night." He finally fell asleep about 30 minutes before we landed. Even in the taxi, he stayed awake until the last 5 minutes.
It was fine, though. I knew there was a finite amount of time on the flight, and that it would be totally worth it!
Jet lag-wise, we'll see. He slept from 7:30pm-1:15am last night. Then was up until 4 wanting to play. Now it's 9:30 am and he's still sleeping. I'm probably going to get him up soon just to make sure he still gets his 2 naps in and try to get him on Paris time.
I'm so looking forward to showing him this beautiful city! I know he wont remember, but there will be pictures and stories.
Re: Well, we made it!
That sounds like a wonderful trip! We're going to the south of France for a bit next week, too. I'm excited for some beach time! But I agree that if your time is limited, I'd just stick with Paris.
PPs- thanks! I will definitely post some pictures soon. :-D

Awesome - it is beautiful down there. Don't know where you're staying, but we stayed in Nice. Make sure you check out the open air markets early in the morning - GORGEOUS and so fun! We also took the train down to Cannes. The train was an easy ride and it was really fun to meet the people aboard (really strange to sit on a train and feel something brush up against you and its a dog - dogs are allowed EVERYWHERE in France - inside restaurants too). Also went to (my favorite) the Matisse museum (Musee Matisse De Nice). LOVED IT! Enjoy.
