Pain in groin area - weird symptom

Will do my best to describe this weird symptom of mine.  Started a few days ago and is not continuous.   Seems to be worse at night.  Feels almost like a Charlie Horse in my groin muscle area.  Like that area is stretching or pulling but sometimes it catches me so off guard.  Is worse when I am walking but has also happened sitting down.

 Anyone have this or have any inclination for what it may mean?  I am carrying really low and was 3 1/2 cm dilated two days ago.  I'm 37 weeks tomorrow.  Doc says I must be having some contractions to have dilated so much.

    You're not alone!  This symptom started for me around 35 weeks, and nearly stops me in my tracks when I'm walking.  I get it most often when the baby is moving, and from what my OB has said, it is just the baby "settling in" to position.  My LO is also VERY low, too, which I'm sure contributes to this bizare symptom.

    I have had KILLER pain in my groin area, like where my inner thigh met my crotch. It could strike when walking, but more when I would move my leg around in other ways, and was crippling. When we started doing perineal massage we realized we could release the whatever-it-was internally. Since the pain was on my left side my hubby would rotate his finger to my left interior vaginal wall until he would just barely touch on a place that made me gasp in pain. He'd hold his finger there at a bearable level, and slowly it would release under the pressure. As time has gone on he's been able to put more pressure there and hold and it releases deeper, and now the pain is virtually gone! So if this sounds like it could be your pain, maybe worth a try?

    I have this exact pain as well..have just chalked it up to normal pregnancy pains.
