Another May baby!

Hey all!!! As some of ya may know, was scheduled for induction on the 16th. Our LO decided wasn't waiting til then. I went into labor on Mon am, with the my mucus plug starting to pass. Nothing real special through the day, sporadic and untimeable contractions. Around 10pm more mucus and then things started picking up a bit. Then after midnight, contractions even more intense. Called doula around 12 and we agreed to call hosp to see if I should be checked as was contracting all day. After talking to hosp they said to come in. We got there about 3 or so and was checked, a whole 1cm and 50%. They had me stay for awhile, they wanted me to get hydrated and recheck in a few hours. I was to be checked again about 6, but due to emergency section and antoher delivery, that was not until after 7. The night shift nurse told the dayshift nurse that I would most likely be going home, or be in labor the rest of the day. Ummm, not! Checked and I was 7cm. Things got busy at that point. I get kinda blurry on the details as the contractions got more intense. I was told I could start pushing around 11am. Was making some progress, but getting very tired. The next thing I remember hearing is them saying about breaking down the bed and delivering a baby. Then the next thing I know, am grabbing my baby and putting on my chest. Our SON Gavin Christopher was born on Tues May 8th at 1:18pm. He weighed 7#13oz, 20" long. I did have some tearing because he came out soo fast. They were going to do some perineal massage to prevent that, but there wasn't anytime. He kinda just came flying out. We came home earlier this afternoon! He is doing fantastic. I am a bit sore from the tear. But this too shall pass. He is nursing well. We go to dr appt for him tomorrow for wt check as he is only being breast fed and they want to keep an eye on his wt. He is perfect. We couldn't be happier.

I wish everyone the best with their labor and deliveries. I will check in again soon. I will also try to post a pic, but since I don't know how, not sure when that might be.
