Adoption Prayer Group

Hi everyone, The Adoption Prayer Group is a support group utilizing the power of prayer. If you want to join I will assign you a prayer buddy and all you have to do is simply include that person in your prayers. Very simple-yet powerful!!! The complete listing of partners can be found under Prayer Partners. I usually post on Wednesdays. Feel free to search under Adoption Prayer Group and check in at whatever time of day. If you have any concerns, special prayer requests, or need to reach me outside of the bump please email me at suzannesteward69@yahoo.com.

If you want to join the group and be linked up with a prayer partner please provide the following info: your name, and if you choose your email address. If you?re not comfortable with posting your email address, please feel free to send me a private message with your email address.

This Week?s Events: May 12th ? Zanymermaid?s graduation Smile

Praise: Amyaggie 97: She and her DH have sent off all of their paperwork from the home study checklist! Now they just need their references to send their part in and then they can schedule the visit.

GnomeSweetGnome: She just landed a job as a graduate assistant, so she will be making more $ to save for adoption and she will be able to graduate on time without doing practicum hours.  

Zanymermaid: Zanymermaid?s dog is much better and he is on the mend.

Special Prayer Requests: Please let me know if you have any prayer requests. Bhead 81: She was laid off from her job. Please pray that she will be able to find a quick replacement.

BMcLeod Team: She and her fianc? are trying to make the decision between straight adoption or foster to adopt. Please pray that they make the right decision for them.

Lizlemmon19: She is in the process of trying to adopt 1-2 children from foster care in MA. They are waiting on final approval of their home study at the state level. Please pray that they receive their approval soon.

Reflection for the day: Psalm 92:12: The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree; he will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Question of the day: The adoption process can sometimes be a long wait. How do you cope with the waiting? I?ve never been a very patient person, so this is hard for me. Now that I?m finished with school, I?m going to try to get more involved with hobbies.

    I love that reflection verse! Thanks for sharing.

    Im not waiting yet, so I can't really answer the QOTD, except that I hope to stay busy with my little remodeling projects.

    Special prayer request--- I have a routine CT/PET scan scheduled tomorrow.  I have one every year... I am a cancer survivor and it's just part of my yearly medical.  I did postpone this one and so it's overdue... but I am a nervous wreck.  I normally don't stress over it... but I keep waking up at night thinking about the what if's... life is so good right now, I would be so MAD if my cancer came back.  So my prayer request is for good results and peace of mind.

    Cancer survivor here too! Silliestbunny, you will be FINE, but I am sending big prayers your way anyway. I know those nerves well....and they are terrible. <<hugs>>

    Also, if you are a praying type - check out Philippians 4:4-7 - I take that one with me for my appointments and scans, have it posted on my walls at home and at work.

    I am also a cancer survivor! I am sure everything will come out great, but I will be praying for you!

     As for the QOTD I have my hands full with wedding planning right now, which is keeping me busy. Once that's done, I have no idea how I'll manage to keep myself from going insane!

    QOTD: I'm in the "pre-waiting" phase (haven't submitted paperwork yet), but I keep busy by taking a full course load of graduate school, working part time, running/volunteering with TNT, and volunteering at church.

    Prayer request: It's Mother Day this weekend, so I'm sure a lot of us could use prayers for peace and comfort while we're still waiting to become moms. :)

    Prayer request: A friend of mine was rushed to the hospital a few days ago, she's had 2 surgeries and has been in a coma the whole time. Yesterday they put her on dialysis for fear her kidneys are failing. I just got word that she is slowly coming to, so in the next few days we should know a) how she is overall and b) if she's going to have permanent kidney damage. Please keep her and her 13 year old daughter (she has no father in the picture, just her Mom) in your prayers.
