welcome baby evelyn!

Well as most of u know, I had pre-eclampsia and was going to get induced this coming Sunday. Well my baby had a plan of her own! My water broke at 4am yesterday and after a decent and difficult free labor, 90 min of pushing bc her head got stuck, we delivered a baby girl. 4lb 11oz and 18 inches long. She was born at 35weeks 2 days at 7:17pm on 5/8/12. She is perfect other than being small! Hopefully get to have her in our room tomorrow! Now there's me! I had some tearing and after an hour of unsuccessful stitching with minimal anthestic they took me to OR and restarted my epidural and spent an your stitching me up. Well overnight I passed a very large amount of blood with lots of clots. At about 6am they decided I needed.to.go back.to the OR to make sure I wasn't still bleeding bc I was soaking a pad in a half an hour. Well, now all is well and im all stitched and barely bleeding. I had to have a transfusion bc of all the blood I lost. Im finally starting to feel better. Working on pumping so Evelyn can have breast milk asap but it hasn't came in yet. Ill keep you all updated on our conditions and ill post pics when we get home!

    Congratulations!  So happy for you and glad baby Evelyn is healthy.  I'm so sorry you've had a hard time though...it's crazy such a tiny baby can cause that much damage on her way out!  Hope you get to feeling better soon:)

    Congratulations on your daughter Evelyn!  I hope your recovery goes well.  I am still hurting from both ends.  My milk came in last week, and with a Medela pump that I have rented, I finally got everything unplugged and a really good flow of breastmilk coming in.  It has been more that I now need to focus on getting my daughter to gain weight.
