So, after being really active my whole pregnancy, Alien really toned down the movement yesterday. I couldn't get him to move at all. Pusjing, prodding, shaking, jumping up and down...nothing worked. Just when I was starting to panic and pull out the Doppler for the first time in MONTHS, he gave a thump. One. I waited and there weren't any more. But, I had felt it, and I knew he was still in there. Laid down for bed and I got about 10 minutes of lazy movement out of him. Today, he's a little more active, but still only about 50% what he normall does. And they're slow rolls vs his usually stretches and punches. Oh, and no hiccups since Tuesday! It's a little disconcerting.
I'm going to being it up to my OB today at my 38w appt. And, for the rest f my pregnancy, I won't complain about how active he is or how much it hurts! At least then, I know he's still ok in there.
Re: Decreased Movement Sucks
My Chart
Gah! This is me exactly! Then I realized you & I are only a few days apart, so that makes sense!
The other night my medium sized dog (26lbs) was trying to inform me he was ready to get off the couch & go potty, and he put his front paws and some weight on my belly in a somewhat fast movement. I was all like "I hope he didn't hurt the baby!" Of course, the baby was fine, as it's not like this huge heavy force crushed me. But it did take longer than I liked for baby to give me movement!
