Got up at 3am to pee and lost a big chunk of my mucus plug. I was also wide awake, which is not like me and really had an urge to do some laundry. Back pain had started yesterday afternoon, but went away. It came back around 5am. Comes and goes, no timeable contractions but pretty uncomfortable with the sporadic back pain and it is also radiating down my legs.
So, I'm guessing that I am in prelabor. While I'm glad that I made it to full term, I would prefer if this baby cooked a bit more, but I am really not looking forward to potentially weeks of this prelabor. Should I go for a long walk and see if I can get things moving, or should I be a couch potato and see if I can make the prelabor go away (is that even possible?). Oh and for what it is worth, on Tuesday I was 2cm and 70%.
Re: To walk or not to walk
Personally I would be walking.. at my 37 week apt my baby was measuring full term, the Dr. said she could come any time. I am walking 5 miles a day and nothing is happening. But exercise makes me feel amazing!!! So I say walk! If you feel up to it!!!
Just make sure you have your cell phone with you
never know!
I'm just nervous after having a preemie.
5 miles a day, how do you do that? I have to pee before I make it back from our normal 2 mile walk.
Because you are over 37 weeks, your baby will not be considered a premie - you are full term.
I know I'm full term, I just hope that every extra day will help put off some of the problems we had with DD. Probably dumb, but I'm not in a huge rush.
Definitely understand that! I had read your last post wrong.
And I missed your post:) Things seem to be slowing down, so I am thinking that I'm not going to try and push myself into labor. If I am still pregant by my EDD, I might regret this decision though:)
I would walk. I'm ready to have my baby, though! I have no idea how you even do 2 miles, OP! I can only walk my dogs around the block (.5 mile) before the pain of Turtle's head stops me.
...still really hoping I can do med free labor... Sh*ts getting uncomfortable!!!

I spread it out! 2 in the morning - 1 in the afternoon and 2 at night!
I would have to knock on the neighbours doors and ask to use their bathrooms if I did all five at once! haha
I have a 100lb Boxer who cries and cries if you don't walk him haha so lets just say he is my motivation!!!!
I peed in the dog park yesterday. Our dog park is heavily wooded with tons of walking paths and I was walking the dogs around one of the path loops and I literally had to go behind a tree and pee. Just thought you'd all want to know. Pregnancy is so glamorous.
That is awesome. Totally considered this the other day when we were out in the woods.
