Rollercoaster first u/s and appt (a bit long)...

Since yesterday I have been a nervous wreck about today's appointment.  Thoughts of bad news kept popping into my head, so when we got to the office I was already shaking.  I love my nurse midwife and everyone who works there (I have gone there with all my pregnancies and they are always so supportive and amazing).  Anyways, I went to check in and the receptionist's face just drops when I hand over my insurance card.  They recently switched how their billing gets processed and she didn't realize until that moment that their ultrasound tech isn't covered by our insurance!  She apologized a million times over and I am still covered for the nurse midwife, but they were going to have to send me somewhere else for the u/s.  I know I looked like I was about to break down, but of course I told her that was fine and that I would schedule it for tomorrow. 

As I was getting my blood drawn the u/s tech comes in and asks if I want a free peek at the baby anyways.  She told me that she has been waiting for us to come back since our loss and she would love to be able to unofficially let us see our peanut and measure him/her for us.  Of course I said yes, so we got to see our LO and hear the heartbeat!!!  When the baby popped up on screen I just burst into tears.  I'm so glad that we got to see him/her and that at this point everything looks ok.  I'm sad that I won't be able to go to her anymore for our ultrasounds with this pregnancy, because she is amazing, but I am glad things works out for us today...  Just wanted to share. :-)

    It sounds like you have an amazing office! I am glad to hear your little one is doing well.

    Wow! That is a roller coaster! What a sweet u/s tech! She's a great person. I really love when people like that touch our lives, and I'm so glad someone could brighten your day. So glad to hear you heard a beautiful heartbeat :)

    Glad you were able to get your free sneak peek!  That was really nice of her.  And I'm so glad that baby is looking good!  *hugs*

    Glad to hear your office was accommodating!  There is enough stress for PGAL without insurance technicalities getting in the way!

    Thanks everyone!  Yes, I can't say enough good things about the office I go to.  I would recommend them to anyone in the area. :-)  I'm just bummed I won't be able to see that tech anymore- she's amazing.  FX that they ones I will be going to will be good also.

    I'm so glad things went well now where is that Ticker!! LOL!! it took me almost 8 weeks to put mine up.
