Just got back from first IUI

Oh my goodness.  I don't know if I have a really weird cervix or if that nurse just didn't know what the heck she was doing, but she went through three speculums of varying shapes and sizes trying to get one positioned right so that she could see where to put the catheter.  I was told it would be almost just like a pap test but longer as far as what it felt like, but wow, there was more painful maneuvering in, out, and around than I have ever experienced at the ob/gyn before.  Ugh.  Hope it works or that I get a different nurse next time!

    I am on my second round of IUI. My first round took 3 speculums also! My cervix is tilted, curved and on its side.... not sure how but hey...

     

    Wishing you the best of luck! How many eggs did you have? Count? Mobility?

    2 eggs, both about 18mm at the time of trigger.  We started with 47 million, 20 million motile. After prep, they used a vial with 4.17 million and 85.5% motile.

    Oh my goodness - after all that I hope this one works too!  (Course, I'd hope this one worked even if you hadn't gone through all that!)  :)

    that does sound painful. FX that it works and you don't have to deal with that again!
