BFN but no period at 17DPO, help me understand!

Hello Ladies,

Help me understand what is happening please!  I have been testing since 12DPO but all preg tests come as negative. My luteal phase is usually 13 days, my cycle w/o Clomid was 26 days. I am on day 30 now and nothing. This month I am taking progesterone supositories, does that make your luteal phase way longer like that?

I had spotting yesterday but no period after that, still nothing now. I stopped the progesterone after that.

I wonder if Clomid and supositories got my cycle our of whack. I want to think i can be preg, but don't want to have false hopes. Have any of you experienced somethign like that. I am also wondering if I had a checmical pregnancy but I never tested positive.

    my cycle is always longer when i use prometrium. i've also had spotting on it, sometimes for a few days, then i start. did your RE tell you to stop the progesterone? if you stop, it will start your period. my RE always has me wait until we're sure i have a BFN...usually after my period is due and it's been at least 2 weeks past IUI. best of luck!
    8/09 DS born, pregnant 1st try with him...he's perfect. 8/10 BFP, 1st try...Blighted Ovum. D&C 10/10. 4/11 BFP...Chemical Pregnancy. 5/12 BFP...FHR 110 at 7 weeks, measured only 6 weeks. No heartbeat at 8 weeks. Miscarriage. 3 IUI cycles with clomid. all BPN. 4th IUI cycle with injectables (follistim 75iu & ovidrel). BFP, ending in miscarriage.

    Yes, I've read that many women on clomid have longer cycles. Usually with a chemical pregnancy, you test positive and then get your period so I wouldn't worry about that.

    The progesterone suppositories can extend your cycles.  My RE told me that if after 2 weeks I had a negative pregnancy test, I should stop taking them because it would make it take a lot longer to get my period.  So, my guess is it's just too much progesterone in your system.

    I this your first Clomid cycle? Sorry, I don't remember... Clomid always made my cycles super long, and the progesterone will add to that.  Sorry. Wish I could say it was a good thing.  I'd call the RE and let them know - they may just have you wait or go in for a P4.  GL and let us know what happens.
