TTC After a Loss

such a large temp drop before O. Normal??

This is my first month really charting, and I was wondering if its normal to have such a large temp drop before you O. I have always suspected I O around day 11, so I am getting pretty close. I was just surprised by such the large drop the past few days. Is this something fairly common? Should I just be more worried about my temps after I O?? So much to learn, I had no idea. Tongue Tied TIA

Re: such a large temp drop before O. Normal??

  • Some months I get a temp drop before O... A lot of people do. I think it's fairly normal and I would also be more concerned with your post O temps.

  • A pre-O temp drop is common. But that is a HUGE temp drop, I question your temping accuracy on yesterday's recording.

  • I questioned that too. I take it at the same time every morning, get a good amount of sleep.. So I don't know whats up with it. What would it do to my chart if i took that temp out? Can you throw out temps that you don't think are very accurate?

It is for me; it's a pattern I noticed after a few months of charting.

Most likely, It won't do anything to your chart. There's a discard option. I would discard it. if for some reason you get more temps down in that range, you can always put it back in. It doesn't erase the temp reading, just ignores it.

  • A temp drop is normal, but that is a HUGE drop! Think it's possible you were sleeping with your mouth open?

I'm with PP's. My temp does typically drop, but that is a huge one. There has to be other factors involved here. Was anything out of the ordinary for you (sleep atire, fan on/off, air conditioning on/off)
