Good morning ladies,

I've commented on a couple of posts and I just realized that I never introduced myself.  I'm Carrie and my DH and I are trying for #2.  We have a son that turned 2 in December.  I took Clomid 50 mg CD3-7 b/c I wasn't Oing at all and got pg with him on the first cycle.  Since his birth I have O'd like clockwork, but no baby.  We have been trying for the past year.  To make it worse, I turn 35 in a few weeks.  Joy!  Whatever...I went to the Dr. the other day and she Rx Clomid.  I don't want to take it b/c I want to hold out hope that I'll get pg on my own this time.  I mean I'm Oing and everything and we're doing "it" so what's the freakin' problem?!?!?  I might take it next month.  We'll see.

I so don't want our son to be an only child.  It breaks my heart when he sees strangers that have sibilings and then asks me "mommy, where's my brother or sister?"  The other day at dinner he said, "I love my sister".  My DH looked at me like "WHAT?"

    Welcome to the board! I can tell that DS is really yearning for another child to be in the house. Most of our friends have second children already and he is OBSESSED with their babies. He even walks around with this baby doll my dad bought him in the house taking care of her. It breaks my heart.

    Hi and Welcome! I am 36 and O on my own but after almost a year of ttc#2 with no assistance I started seeing my re again and I was prescribed Clomid since I have a weak ovulation and I O late in my cycle. I didn't want to take meds either but since I'm not getting pg on my own I figured I would go ahead with the clomid. Good Luck to you!

    Welcome to the board.

    Just curious, but how do you know that you o on your own now?  

    On a positive note, I have a close friend who conceived #1 using clomid and conceived #2 by taking clomid too.  It only took her a few (2-3) cycles the 2nd time.

    DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
    MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

    TTC #2 since 6/2010
    10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
    A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
    DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
    Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
    Wishing, hoping, waiting.

    AprilDrew - that's a very good question! I don't know for sure b/c I haven't been temping, just doing opks and we all know that they are not the definitive answer in Oing.  I do have a Hx of endo and I can feel the discomfort.  That doesn't mean teh eggs are good or anything but I do feel "soomething".  When I get ewcm I have a period 14 days later.  Again, nothing for sure.  Hell, it could all be a coninsidence!
