congrats! she won't mind the boyish diapers and it may give you an excuse to buy a few cute girly ones.
I too hate pink. The girl aisle of the toy store makes me want to throw up. Luckily DD din't get too many baby pink things. Unfortunatly hot pink and darker shades of pink are her best color pretty much. It is growing on me but she will not wear baby pink until she buys it her self or demands it. I wish she looked better in purple and blue. Those are much more her mommy's colors. Hope you have better luck
I realy like having one of each! Best of both worlds!
We regularly shop in the boys section of stores. I try to avoid not only pink, but pictures of poodles in tutus and the like. So I'll get LO a shirt from the boys side, and jeans/sweatpants/shorts from the girls side. It seems to work for us. There are also lots of other options, you just have to keep your eye out.
I think the whole pink toy/blue toy thing is RIDICULOUS. We do have some, but not many.
I've seen girls pull of some super cute "boyish" outfits so no worries about the pink. I'm sure she'll rock a pair of camo shorts & chucks and look stinkin' adorable doing it!
