My head is spinning

We just spent a good part of the night going over the legal documents, consents, and risks of DE IVF! Nevermind the fact that I had another meltdown and anxiety attack over the cost of this all (while I was at work). I keep telling myself that I would easily pay that for a car, my education, etc. so why not a family. I am so excited, but so anxiety stricken over it all. It is a good thing red wine is supposed to help the ute lining ??.

I'm so excited for you Lynn, but I get the scary part, too.  I'd love to talk with you more sometime.  We just crossed a DE bridge tonight, mostly with the help of my fantastic therapist.  We're going to try one more cycle, but start the DE search in a parallel path.  I heart you and am twitterpated by the thought of a take home baby for you sweets. Keep up the amazing work.  You're Superwoman!

  • Thanks girls! I was up all night lol. I don't know why I do that to myself. I kept dwelling on how my donor is on 600iu of meds (what I was on as DOR). They have reassured me that she is no way DOR. Her last cycle yielded 33 eggs and 13 frozen blasts. The one prior yielded 27 eggs and 7 frozen blasts.

We are part of the guarantee program so at least we would get some money back. We would be out her fee and obvi the cost of her meds. I feel good overall, I just get passing negative feelings.

I would love to help you out! I actually did look into your doc, he has an amazing success rate. If I read his guarantee program correctly I didnt care for it. Let me know if you have any questions. I would def start with that book Having Babies Through Egg Donation. Join the FB group too. I am not sure how to add people to it, but someone else might be able to help out with that. The girls are so supporitive.

I will PM you when I have the time.  We will not be using any of the clinic's donors. He doesn't have what we're looking for.  But he will cycle with an outside donor who goes through the clinic's additional screening procedures.  There are a couple of good local agencies that we're going to look into now.  Not sure if I'm excited, terrified, wanting to throw up or all of the above.  I'm sure you know the feeling.

Also, yes, his success rate is great.  He was over 80% in 2011.  If we can get matched with the right donor, we'll be in the best shape possible. Thanks, Lynn!  I just know you'll tackle DE like a boss ;)
