2nd Trimester

Anyone else scared of laughing too hard??

My husband gets pissed PISSED when I laugh because he is afraid I am hurting the baby, which I hate to say it but makes me laugh more because I dont think that laughing could hurt her.. BUT It is kinda scary because my whole stomach moves so much and I may squeeze her since all my abs contract. What do you think?

  • No. That is in the same boat as DH "poking" the baby.

  • No! I thought this was going to be a post about potentially pissing your pants, not an uptight DH. I have been cracking up lately and instinctively crossing my legs because I'm afraid I'm going to lose it. But neither DH or myself are worried about hurting the baby.

  • You're absolutely hurting your baby! Haven't you seen that TLC show with the kids who are cone heads because their mom laughed too much during pregnancy?? Avoid all humor from here on out.

  • Ummm...what?   I don't know about you, but I catch the pregnancy giggles on a daily.   Like, laughing so hard I'm crying AND just about to piss myself.   Your baby is surrounded by shock absorbent amniotic fluid...laughing isn't going to hurt that baby.  In fact, I'm laughing right now at this absurdity.   You might ought to tell your husband to do a little more research...

If you can't laugh even while pregnant, life is going to be pretty tough once that kid is born.  Your DH needs to lighten up! Laugh it up lady!!  Be happy, you're bringing a life into the world and laughter is good for your health.

  • hahaha my husband is the same way, he thinks everything i do and every move i make is gonna hurt our baby! don't worry, i always laugh. not gonna lie, i'm more afraid to cough and sneeze because of the round ligament pain! feels like my ovaries are jumping all over the place! haha. i asked my dr about it since i used to be super paranoid in the beginning of my pregnancy and he just laughed at me :p

  • Uhm..no. I do sometimes fear laughing/coughing/sneezing because of RLP...Or baby girl decides to kick to crap outta me. Wait...maybe she's trying to tell me in morse code that I'm hurting her!!!
  • If stressing and worrying are bad for the baby, then laughing must be the best thing for it. You know, making happy babies :)
