Induction scheduled for next week....anyone else?

Miss Mackenzie is scheduled to be evicted next week via induction.  I must admit that although I am anxious to meet my little girl, I am nervous about the induction process.  Plus, my cervix is still closed so I will need Cervidil prior to Pitocin, which I gather can make it a longer process.  Have any of you ladies also been scheduled for induction in the near future?  If so, how are you feeling about it?

    My due date is May 23, and I'm scheduled for induction on May 29th, if LO hasn't made his appearance by then. 

    I'm nervous about the whole birth process, being induced or not.  I'm even more nervous about being induced because of the pains being more significant with pitocin.  However, I don't want my LO to be too late, because of increased health risks with late babies.  So, I'm nervous, but I want what's best for LO.

    I have it scheduled for Wed at 7pm..I'm doing everything in my power to try and make myself go into labor before then! I am 2cm 50% so I'm not starting from scratch but still not looking forward to an induction

    Just a positive note -- I was induced with my DD and it was a great experience! I was about 2 cm for a very long time and 50% effaced going in. They did Pitocin, broke my water and within 12 hrs, DD was born after about 30 min of pushing. Good luck to all you ladies and keep in mind that you CAN have a wonderful birthing experience with an induction!

    I just had my 40 week appt. today and have an ultrasound and NST test scheduled for Monday at which point we will probably be scheduling the induction for sometime next week. I am 2cm's ad 50 % effaced so my dr. said I'm a good candiate for being induced since I'm not starting from nothing. But she still wanted to give him the weekend to come out on his own and see what he's doing mon.

    I have an eviction notice of 5/18, but nothing is scheduled. We'll see at this appt and my next one. I imagine it'll be sometime between 5/18 and 5/25. She won't let me go past 40w. I have SOME progress, so my body will hopefully react favorably to it. I really don't care anymore. I just want him safely out of me.  (Today is another contraction day)
