VBAC

VBAC after no labor with 1st pg?

kegkeg member

Hi All,

Not pregnant yet, but considering it and would love to try for a VBAC if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant with #3.  I had a c-section with my girls because of growth issues--it was determined that Baby B would be better off out than in.  Because of positioning (while A was vertex, B was transverse or breech, depending on the moment :-) and that it was relatively early (just under 36w), the OBs went straight to a c-section without attempting an induction.  So my body never went into labor on it's own, but I'm not a standard 40+ week didn't go into labor person.  I'm just curious if there is anyone here with a similar situation and if you were able to successfully VBAC.

I had a scheduled c section at 38w6d and didn't labor at all.  You had your girls a lot earlier than I had my DD, so that's a factor.  I'm in the same boat as you--I have no idea if I could've gone into labor on my own a few days later had they given me time or if I would've gone to 41+w.  I'm sure you and I have a lot of the same questions.  I'm doing everything I can to get my body "ready" for baby to come so I'll be given the chance to VBAC.  I haven't successfully VBACed YET, but I wanted you to know you're not alone!

  • I'm wondering the same thing! I had my daughter via scheduled c section at 39 weeks because she was breech. I never had any BH contractions by that point even so I"m a little worried I wont go into labour :(
