Would someone like to help me? TIA.
My parents are basically arriving at our house the second I get home from work. This doesn't allow me time to prepare dinner, nor did I plan ahead and make something ahead of time.
Would you do takeout from somewhere? Or do you have an idea for a super-quick meal I could prepare for 5 of us (97-year-old grandma, too)? I'm seriously out of ideas.
And no pizza. Had that last night and my intestines exploded. Sorry.
Re: speaking of pregnancy brain...
you could take them out for dinner.
or pick up a couple skillet sensations and garlic bread.
or order a bunch of thai or chinese food
or get steaks (quick to cook) and make up some mashed potatoes or oven fries and roast broccoli
or make taco's - very fast w/ refried beans and corn.

I forgot to say that we're taking them out Friday so I was trying to avoid two restaurant trips (even though I'd be ok with that).
I always like chili for a last minute large group of people. It's easy and tasty. and I'd make some cornbread or something with it.
Thanks for the fish oil tip!!!
Yum! that's a fantastic idea. You could stop at panera and get soup and bread.

While normally I would totally do the chinese take-out...
a) my grandma does not so much like it and she'd be very verbal about her distaste
b) the smell of chinese food right now makes me gag. Literally.
We did the soup for a group from Panera at lunch and it was fab. You could do that and a small sandwich buffet (or just get the sandwiches from Panera).
Can I come for dinner? I think I'm either having mall food or spaghetti. Which kind of makes me sick to think about either option.
See you in several hours
