lazy eyelid? PIP

So DH and I have noticed that DD left eyelid sometimes doesn't open as wide as her right eyelid.  (see pic below)  DH has a droopy eyelid as well...but it only droops when he is super tired now.  I mentioned it to my pedi at her 2 week well check, but he wasn't too concerned at that point but said we would keep an eye on it.  Sometimes her eyelids are both wide open...so its not ALL the time, but enough that it makes me worry some.  Anyone else experiencing this or have experienced this with other children? Do you know anything about it??

    it's called ptosis.  my nephew has it really badly where more than half of his pupil is covered all the time and he will need surgical correction soon (he is 3 mos old).  you can see an eye doc if you're concerned, but it's usually ok if it doesn't happen often and doesn't cover the pupil.

    My dd has the same thing.,,left eyelid just a little droopier than her right... I haven't brought it up with her Ped- Ive just chalked it up to her eyes still developing...like you said, it's not all the time, but now I wonder if I should bring it up at her next drs appt...

    Exact same thing here. My left eyelid is a little lazy, but you can only really see it in pictures and when I'm really tired. It never bothered me, but it makes me sad that Sadie might have one too.

    Tyler has a little bit of a droopy left eye lid.  At first I just thought it was because he was a newborn and not really ready to open both eyes wide yet.  H actually mentioned it to the pedi.  She said we would keep an eye on it.  Sometimes it corrects itself and it is because of the way he was laying in the womb.  He could have been pressing that side of his face more, and it just needs some time to fix itself.

    DS1 had a droopy eyelid. We went to a pediatric opthamologist when he was 10 months old to have it checked. The concern is if the droop affects their field of vision - if it does it can potentially cause vision issues if not corrected. DS's was no big deal and I don't even notice it anymore. I do recommend seeing a pediatric opthamologist if youhave any concerns (not now, in a few months) - I have vision issues that were not caught early enough to correct and now have no vision in one eye. I don't mess with eye issues.
