Baby still not STTN? Read this.

I found this article online today and loved it - for all those mamas out there like me whose babies are still waking 2, 3, 4 (5...) times each night, I hope this post gives you some comfort, as it did me.

  • I'd be a lying liar if I didn't tell you that in the dark, deep, depths of the night after hourly wakings or endless fussing I have said some very, very bad things. Things said out of frustration and exhaustion and fear that I'm doing this all wrong. F-bombs have been dropped, pillows have been on the receiving end of my screams, unfair
accusations have been hurled between Dave and I as we blame each other for everything, anything and mostly our own sleeplessness. Those nights are the worst. And yet somehow, even after those nights, you wake up in the morning and things are fine. Caffeine exists and your baby is the cutest ever born and your spouse is your partner not your enemy.

This is me.  I can't tell you the number of times I've yelled and screamed and cursed because K won't sleep and I'm utterly exhausted.  In the beginning it happened almost every night.  There's a reason why sleep deprivation is used as a method of torture--it works!

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who's dealing with a child that doesn't sleep well.  On top of horrible night sleeping, K hardly naps which only adds to the exhaustion since I can't get a nap.  The lack of sleep is seriously making me consider being one and done rather than having another child in a couple of years.  I don't think I can go through this again.
