LOL Gift card from Target re Britax carseat

I just got an email from Target saying they are sorry for the recent error in pricing of the Britax carseat I ordered.  They gave me a $25 egift card to use!  Not bad!

I'm hanging my head in shame.  I should have scrolled down b/f posting.  I was just so excited.  Embarrassed

    just make sure to read the whole email. by accepting it you release them from any error and obligation for the mistake and cannot seek other redress (ie a class action lawsuit). the legal department must have had a good time with that one :)

    Seriously, does anyone plan on suing? Is it reallllllllllly that big of a deal? That made a freaking mistake it's not like they set stores on fire with people trapped inside.

    I ordered 3 car seats - I should get 3 gift cards! Stick out tongue Now I'm just being as greedy as I was when I heard about the car seat deal.

    I think the whole thing is hilarious. I am not upset, nor understood why so many people were so upset. Of course it was going to be caught and not honoured.  But yes, several boards actually started an online petition and claimed they were taking their thousands of dollars of baby business, along with all their friends, elsewhere. Just pointing it out for those who were all so up in arms about it.

    and clearly the legal department was worried about people suing, or they wouldn't have put that language in the email. again, pointing it out for hilarity, not anger.

    Gotcha, and I understand people being bummed, but lawsuits/petitions/mob uprisings seems a little extreme for the circumstances lol
