Numbness around incision

Anyone else have numb areas around the incision? If so, did it eventually lessen or go away?

Re: Numbness around incision

  • I did for a while. I pretty much have all of my feeling back now. My sister says hers is still numb and her LO is two and a half. My MIL had a hysterectomy 25 years ago and hers is still numb.  I think it is different for everyone, but it is all pretty much normal.

Mine isn't completely numb but I don't have full feeling back either. The left side of my incision feels like what your mouth feels like when the novacaine is wearing off after dental work. It's getting better, but it's still annoying.

  • Mine is still pretty numb but just right around the incision scar and my youngest is almost 4, so everyone is different, but its not unheard of no.

  • I am 21 month out from my first c-section and two weeks away from my second and I sill have numbness from mine. My mother who had me 29 years ago still has numbness around hers. My cousin had her daughter 3 years ago and still has numbness as well.

I think it is something that will always be there to some extent. At least for me.

  • My oldest is almost 4 and my youngest is two and a half - I still have numbness around my incision area.
  • My son is 21 months and I still feel numbness.  I think it is normal.
