I spent a lot of time deiciding to try for a vbac and switching doctors to a VBAC friendly practice. DD1 was breech, went into labor and she was still breech and had a c-section 2.5 years ago. I was a good candidate for VBAC. So everything looked good, baby was head down until my 37 week appointment, she flipped into breech position. I am so disappointed. I have been trying chiro and spinning babies techniques....no luck so far. I feel so defeated. If she doesn't turn my Friday's doc appt, c-section needs to be schedules. I am so bummed, I wont even get to try. Staying focused on the blessing of a healthy baby regardless how she gets here.
Re: Looks like no VBAC for me :(
Oh, I'm sorry, that is so disappointing. I keep saying to myself that I'm fine with failing on my VBAC attempt, as long as I get a real attempt at it. I would be upset too.
But, maybe there's a resaon your babies are turning breech. Like they know there's just not enough room for them down there. I hope you can get her turned by Friday. If not, good luck with your RCS.
Can you at least schedule the c-section a little farther out, just in case? Also, how does your provder feel about letting you labor even though you may not deliver vaginally? Sometimes babies can turn during labor. Also, labor is beneficial even if you end up with a c-section.
DD was breech, and I didn't find out til 39 weeks, and went into labor the next day. So I understand what you're going through. A lot to process in a short amount of time.
