She had originally been calling to say my HSG revealed patent fallopian tubes and the office didn't know if I had been informed by the radiologist at the time. That's a lot of customer service I'm not used to from many doctors!
I had the nurse read me off the results of the SA, which had been faxed over. MH's sperm count is 250/mL (the 700 in 50 million was actually 750 million in a sample that was 3 mL total). All the other numbers are the same, but the RN wasn't familiar with what's normal so I have to call the woman in the lab who will be able to give me better information.
The RN is also going to pass the info along to my doc so she can decide if I need to be referred to the RE or if I can continue with the Clomid as decided pre-SA.
So, like everything involved with TTC-- I have to wait some more...
Re: Spoke to the RN at my OB/GYN's
Thorough is great! You're moving forward, even if it feels like it's at a snails pace sometimes. Like I said, knowledge is power in this game!
I spoke to the RN at the sperm lab-- she said that based on the numbers and the criteria they use (Strict Kruger), MH's numbers are great. All he needs for a normal % of normal sperm is anything greater than 4% and he has 10% with great motility and FANTASTIC numbers.
So I guess the issue is me.

Every answer is a step closer to being KUed...at least that is what I keep telling myself
THIS!
Good news on the SA! And good luck waiting....
ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!
BFP #1 - missed m/c 4.18.11 found @8w3d, d&c @13w
BFP #2 blighted ovum found 8.2011 @8w, misoprostol
BFP#3 - missed m/c 6.11.12 @ 9w3d, d&c revealed extra chromosome 15
BFP#4 8.10.12, DD born 4/26/13
Yay for a good SA!
As for "the issue" - it's best not to go there. You are in this as a couple together and it still could be him. SA doesn't test for everything.
I'm glad you got some answers, and very glad that your H's SA was good. Can I ask you though what "patent fallopian tubes" means?
As far as placing blame, just don't do it. It won't help a dang thing. Think of it this way, if your results were all fine & the SA was terrible, would you want DH to blame himself? Or would you be supportive & move forward as a team? This is all hard enough without adding extra crapola to the mix.
Yep ditto
