So I've been scouring iTunes for children's music that isn't annoying to listen to and I came across Caspar Babypants. It's a guy, a guitar, and (mostly) original songs. Think Jack Johnson for your infant (although his music is pretty good for babies too, nice and mellow). Anyway, DD loves it. She's all smiles and giggles whenever I put it on.
There's a song lamenting the poor life of dust bunnies, one about floating on a monkey river, and one in which a bone becomes a house for a crab- just fun, cute stuff that won't make your ears bleed. Thought I would mention it in case anyone else was being driven to drink from listening to Wheels on the Bus for the 5,000th time.
Re: Baby and Toddler Music
oh yeah! I read about him - it's the lead singer from the band The Presidents of the United States of America (Millions of Peaches...)
Renee & Jeremy is another good one. I listed to "Welcome to this World" a million times while pregnant.

Thanks for the recomendation. My toddler loves music so I've certainly listened to my fair share of annoying children's music.
I like Elizabeth Mitchell's you are my little bird. Her music is folk acoustic- I often find myself singing along.
These are great! Thanks for the recommendations.
I typed in Rockabye Baby into Pandora and now I have an endless loop of rock songs that have been elevator-ized. The lullaby channel on Pandora is good too.
